Word and Picture in Communication with Children

Word and Image in Communication with Children is a professional electronic journal that presents the latest findings in the field of literature for children and youth, communication-based didactics of the Czech language, and literary education. It concentrates on work with children and youth, starting with pre-primary education, and then with a focus on school-age youth.

The publisher of the journal Word and Image in Communication with Children is the Faculty of Education of the University of Ostrava, particularly the team of the Department of Czech Language and Literature with Didactics, and the Cabinet of Literature for Children and Youth, Language and Literary Communication.

Word and Image in Communication with Children publishes once a year, has an electronic form, and is accessible through the website of the University of Ostrava. The journal has been registered in the Central European and Eastern Online Library (CEEOL) database since 2022.
