Staff at the Human Motion Diagnostic Centre have been working with Professor Joseph Hamill (University of Massachusetts Amherst) since 2007. This cooperation has led to a number of international publications in prestigious journals such as the British Medical Journal, Sports Biomechanics, Human Movement Science, Prosthetics and Orthotics International, Physical Therapy in Sport, Journal of Sports Sciences, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, etc. In 2015 the Centre built on an existing memorandum of cooperation between the University of Ostrava and the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMASS), drawing up a student exchange agreement.

The Centre has been working with Professor Gareth Irwin from Cardiff Metropolitan University’s School of Sport since 2012. This cooperation has likewise led to publications in Impact Factor journals (Journal of Sport Sciences, Human Movement Science, Sports Biomechanics), presentations at international conferences (International Symposium of Biomechanics in Sports, BASES Biomechanics Interest Group Meeting) and invited lectures (Sport Biomechanics Research Group Seminar, Cardiff, 2013; C-Motion User Group Meeting, Cardiff 2013; Sport Wales: Welsh Gymnastics Seminar, Wales, 2014) as well as awards at international conferences (ISBS Hans Gros New Investigator Award, 2013).

The Centre’s long-term links with Dr. Estevan (University of Valencia) has led to publications in Impact Factor journals (Journal of Sports Sciences, Journal of Human Kinetics) listed in the Web of Science. In  2015 cooperation was launched with a number of other experts at institutions abroad: Dr. Freedman-Silvernail (Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition Science, University of Nevada, Las Vegas), Dr. Strutzenberger (University of Salzburg), Dr. Exell (Department of Sport and Exercise Science, University of Portsmouth), Dr. Plews and Dr. Laursen (Sports Performance Research Institute New Zealand, Auckland University of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand), and Prof. Hofmann (Institute of Sport Science, University of Graz).
