| Anotation | Czech Students are among the least enthusiastic about school in Europe. Nearly 40% do not enjoy attending school, only half of them trust their teachers (52%), feel supported (50%), and even less feel cared for by their teachers (40%). These issues can lead to significant disparities in student development compared to other countries. A key factor that can boost student satisfaction and enjoyment is Teacher Motivational Behaviors (TMBs). While research confirms their impact, a precise assessment of TMBs that aligns with theoretical principles is needed, as well as an exploration of their broader effects on students? psychological and behavioral outcomes. Aim: This project aims to develop the TMB Scale, grounded in Self-Determination Theory (SDT), which aligns well with the objective of increasing entrepreneurial intensity by fostering innovation in educational practices. Another aim is to investigate TMBs impact on student outcomes to foster a supportive and motivating educational environment in the Moravian Silesian Region (MSR), which will make the region more appealing to skilled workforce, thereby supporting the long-term retention of talent. Methods: Three interrelated studies will be conducted. Study 1 develops the TMB Scale. Study 2 examines TMBs? impact on student social-emotional outcomes, with socio-economic status (SES) as a moderator. Study 3 explores TMBs? effects on physical activity levels in different settings, considering SES and family health climate as moderators. Study study will involve 600 primary school students, their guardians, and teachers. Standard scale development procedures, correlational analysis and structural equation modeling will be used. Expected Outcomes: Findings will provide valuable insights for policymakers and educators, improve the educational journey, and finally create a more educated and employed region. |
