The University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), Faculty of Education, Department of Social Pedagogy, brings strong capacity in teaching, research, and project management that directly supports the aims of SusSoPed V4. Demand for its bachelor′s programme is consistently high, with applications exceeding available places by a factor of five, and the programme is delivered by an experienced team led by a guarantor with a track record of curricular innovation. The Department is internationally active through Erasmus+ mobility and long-term cooperation with the other consortium partners, providing a solid platform for effective co-creation. Its recent project portfolio demonstrates practical expertise in linking research with real-world impact, including initiatives focused on children at risk, sustainability and green skills, and climate education, all of which show the ability to integrate equality, inclusion, and climate action into educational design and multistakeholder collaboration.

The University of Debrecen (Hungary), Faculty of Education for Children and Special Educational Needs, is a leading national institution in the education of social pedagogues, with recognized expertise in social pedagogy, inclusive education, and child development. Its academic staff actively shape the field through professional leadership, including co-editing the journal Social Pedagogy, and through long-standing conference organization that supports both national networking and international exchange. Since the mid-2000s, they have helped convene national conferences for social pedagogy institutions and, from 2020 onward, have co-organized international conferences with other universities, where consortium colleagues regularly contribute as speakers. Recent Erasmus+ teaching mobilities and an in-person departmental visit in 2025 further strengthened collaboration with Ostrava and underscored the partner′s professionalism, interdisciplinary approach, and commitment to high-quality outcomes.

The University of the National Education Commission in Krakow (Poland), Institute of Management and Social Affairs, Department of Work Pedagogy and Social Gerontology is a key institution in social and welfare pedagogy, combining long-standing academic prestige with innovative teaching and strong international cooperation. With more than 75 years of experience and a broad portfolio of programmes across five faculties, it offers both depth and institutional capacity for curriculum development at scale. Sustainable development is actively integrated into its teaching and research, aligning well with the consortium′s emphasis on SDG-related innovation. The university also has substantial experience in international project delivery, supported by the Visegrad Fund, EU programmes, and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), and it is recognized regionally for implementing education and social initiatives. Cooperation within the consortium has grown through professional exchange and regular meetings at international conferences, providing a well-established base for deeper joint work.

Trnava University in Trnava (Slovakia), Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Studies is a recognized leader in social pedagogy with a strong focus on youth work, inclusive education, and teacher training, bringing both subject expertise and extensive project experience to the consortium. Previous collaboration includes faculty-level outputs such as the Slovak-Czech publication The Story of Social Pedagogy, developed in connection with the SOCEDU 2022 conference, which illustrates an established ability to co-produce meaningful cross-border results. The partner has a strong track record in Erasmus+ projects, including RIDE (Resources for Inclusion, Diversity and Equality), as well as in national KEGA initiatives that supported the creation and development of social pedagogy study programmes. Current activities address both the integration of socio-legal and socio-therapeutic approaches in social pedagogy education (2020–2027) and the support of social interactions among pupils with special educational needs (2024–2026). Ongoing Erasmus+ teaching mobilities for staff and students further reinforce collaboration and mutual learning within the partnership.
