AnotationThe project Using Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education focuses on the development of digital literacy, critical thinking and problem solving in primary school pupils. The main strategy is the integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) into educational materials. Advanced tools and applications based on generative AI, such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Bing Chat, Formative AI, Canva, Sherpa Labs and others will be used in the development of educational materials, enabling us to create high quality and interactive educational content that aims to transform learning in the areas of internet security, netiquette and copyright and licensing. In the area of internet security, we will be creating educational materials focused on real-world situations in cyberspace that allow pupils to practice the skills needed to protect their data and privacy online. For netiquette, we will create educational materials that reflect authentic situations from everyday online environments, including various aspects of netiquette such as politeness in online communication. In the area of copyright and licensing, we will provide comprehensive training on the protection of creative content and the recognition of protected (digital) content. With GenAI, we can apply adaptive learning, in which educational content is adapted to the specific learning styles and needs of pupils based on their individual progress. The goal is to provide each student with a personalized learning path that maximizes understanding and interest in the content. However, it is essential to address ethics in the context of using GenAI in education for several reasons. For example, to protect learners' privacy, develop critical thinking skills, take responsibility for AI-generated content, or ensure fair and equitable access. All of this will enable learners to develop their digital competencies.
