AnotationThe project focuses on the application of wiki in education, specifically in higher education, with the application overlap into other levels of education (primary schools, secondary schools, lifelong learning). One of the basic principles it uses is the active participation of learners within the education system. In this wiki application, it is a form of e-Learning, but different from the most commonly used e-Learning systems ? LMS (Learning Management System). We also intend to apply the findings of previous research and experiments with the so-called microlearning. The petitioner was the guarantor of the used educational technology solution in the SGS project ?Micro-learning in instruction of technical subjects and humanities?. The use of wiki in combination with microlearning does not deprive this solution of the benefits of a modern approach, but at the same time opens up other possibilities for the active construction of knowledge by the learners themselves. Planned research is focused on the modification of the e-Learning course for the subject "Computer Architecture and Operating Systems Basics" taught at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at the Faculty of Education. The benefits of using alternative course preparation will be verified - comparison with the existing form of e-Learning, where the modified platform for creating wiki pages will be used using the already tested form of microlearning. We will compare the acquired factual knowledge of students (pedagogical experiment), while will focus on closer qualitative assessment of the way students attend the course and consume educational content. This will provide valuable insights into the necessary characteristics of the educational environment as well as the form of elaboration of microlearning units used in practice.
