AnotationThe project deals with intermediate relations in the musical and art work of the prominent Lithuanian composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis (1875-1911). Significant contents of art are interpreted by theory of archetypes. Čiurlionis' work is in a uniform representation of both artistic types almost an isolated and specific example of artistic syncretism. The aim of the project is to integrate archetypal interpretation of selected musical and art works of the artist in the context of the art of European and Czech culture (symbolism, art nouveau). The project's solution is based on a study stay in Lithuanian cultural institutions, direct contact with original works of art, source work and literature. The output of the project is in the Czech musicology and aesthetics innovative texts and their presentation at international scientific conferences.
