Functional Dance-Movement and Dynamic Balance Training for Pedagogical Practice (FDT) develops pedagogical competencies in movement activities with a focus on physiological posture, movement coordination, and self-awareness. It includes the acquisition of basic skills, as well as selected techniques and concepts.
Students will gain fundamental knowledge of the impact of FDT on well-being, the neuromuscular system, and personal development in different target groups. FDT prioritizes proper movement execution, smooth transitions, fluidity, and elegance rather than performance.
The course provides a theoretical and practical introduction to classical ballet arm technique, the PortDeBras system, and the FDT complex system inspired by them.
