The course extends the contents of the course Introduction to Probability. It gives the introduction to mathematical statistic and involves a concept of a random sample, descriptive statistics, principles of estimation theory, regression and correlation analysis, testing hypotheses, parametric and non-parametric methods, statistic data evaluation using statistical software - MS Excel, SPSS.
