About the Human Motion Diagnostic Centre

The Centre serves athletes of all types (recreational, competitive or professional) and individuals with health issues or disabilities related to the locomotive system.

The Centre collects and analyzes data enabling the development of processes leading to improved and optimized movement and performance. Researchers investigate the functional and structural relations between movement and human health, as well as determining the causes of injuries sustained during athletic activity and issuing recommendations for injury prevention. The Centre also helps to enhance the quality of human motion diagnostics for purposes of rehabilitation and orthopedic care.

The Centre’s mission is:

  • To expand the boundaries of knowledge in the field of kinanthropology
  • To transfer research findings into practical applications that are beneficial to society
  • To provide an excellent standard of education for Master’s and Bachelor’s students
  • To raise awareness of the advantages of physical exercise
