The Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Ostrava is announcing a selection process to fill two vacancies

  • Tenure track researcher within the REFRESH project – Research Excellence For Region Sustainability and High-tech Industries

Job description

  • Participates in the implementation of the research program SL 4 Analysis of the impact of transformation on education, human health and psyche following the needs of other research team members and partner workplaces
  • Participates as a team member in basic and oriented research, especially in joint interdisciplinary research in social sciences
  • Analyses foreign theoretical concepts of the investigated issue and the results of relevant research and multi-level and multi-dimensional measures
  • Participates in the selection, specification and pilot validation of research tools
  • Participates in formulating project outputs through qualified analyses and scientific publications

Designation of the applicant's international research profile specification

  • R3 – Established / R4 – Leading (research group)

Estimated working hours

  • 4 hours per week

Qualification and other prerequisites

  • Completion of a doctoral study program in the field of pedagogy/psychology/sociology (Ph.D. degree or equivalent) and obtaining another academic qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of field/research experience after obtaining a Ph.D.
  • Authoring publications in prestigious international journals or achieving another comparable result demonstrating excellence
  • H-index 2WOS/2SCOPUS
  • Documentable involvement in basic/applied/contract research projects
  • Knowledge of the English language, at the B2 level, knowledge of other languages is an advantage
  • Autonomy, responsibility, creative approach to work, and ability to work in an international team
  • Moral and civic integrity
  • Ability to collaborate on pedagogical, psychological and sociological aspects of the impact of industrial transformation on education and human resource development in Society 4.0

Expected start date

  • June 1, 2024, or by agreement

The first round of the selection procedure will take place without the personal presence of the applicants, with the evaluation of the submitted materials by the selection committee.

The dean of the faculty reserves the right to invite only selected applicants to a personal meeting and, at the same time, the right not to select any applicant. The dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Ostrava can also cancel or repeat the selection process.
