Job description
The associate professor will provide instruction in bachelor′s, master′s, and doctoral study programmes (including the supervision and critique of final theses) and participate in the development of these degree programmes. The associate professor will also be a supervisor in doctoral study programmes. The extent of direct teaching in the case of a full-time job 1,0 is usually 6-10 hours a week per semester (in the case of an exceptionally high involvement in research activities or faculty/UO management, the extent of direct teaching may decrease). The associate professor will participate in creative activities, especially in independently managing complex research and development tasks, actively publishing in peer-reviewed journals and other forms of publication outputs according to the requirements of the standards of creative activities at the UO, actively participating in scientific conferences and professional meetings, and presenting results of creative activities. Furthermore, the associate professor will participate in the third role of the university, especially in the form of popularising creative activities, in the administration associated with the activities performed and in the self-government of the university.
Qualification requirements – required
- Completed master′s degree in Psychology
- Habilitation procedure in Psychology or the social sciences
- Appointment as an associate professor, recognized under applicable Czech regulations
- Czech: C2
- English: B2
- Active research and publication activity in the field
- Potential for professional growth
