Job description

The main focus is the analysis of MRI data within the Digiwell project, with an emphasis on:

  • processing and quantification of brain structures (preferably using FreeSurfer)
  • analysis and quantification of the brain connectome from resting-state fMRI measurements
  • participation in MRI scans (Siemens Magnetom Sempra 1.5 Tesla scanner at City Campus)
  • preparation and structuring of data for further IT applications in collaboration
  • collaboration on project methodology and publications

Qualification requirements – required

  • a completed doctoral degree
  • no more than 7 years have elapsed since the completion of the doctoral program
  • Field of study: Biomedical engineer (or a related technical/IT field with a focus on neuroimaging)
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn FreeSurfer and brain structure/connectome analysis
  • Junior candidates are also welcome; they can learn from a more experienced postdoc on the team
  • Motivation for scientific work in neuroimaging
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • English proficiency at least at the B2 level

  • R2 – Recognized

The expected form of employment

  • 0.5 FTE (with the possibility of increasing the FTE by agreement)

The duration of employment

  • The employment contract will be for a fixed term.

The expected start date

  • 1 September 2026, or as agreed
