Synopsis / description / annotation:

The subject Human Movement Physiology continues in curriculum of basic and exercise physiology. The aim is to develop the knowledge and focus on physiological response to exercise and influence of various external factors. The important part is the curriculum about diagnostics of physiological response to exercise. The course provides a theoretical basis for the excercise and physiology in sport.

Active participation and task presentation in seminars

Content:

1. Introduction to exercise physiology.
2.-3. Adaptation of musculoskeletal system to exercise. Bioenergetics and muscle metabolism.
4.-5. Cardiorespiratory response and adaptation to exercise.
6.-7. Exercise performance diagnostics.
8.-9. Enviromental influences on performance.
10.-11. Sex and age considerations in sport and exercise.
12.-13. Physical activity for health and fitness.
