Synopsis / description / annotation:
The aim of lecture is to present some aspects of social education in the context of general interpretation, and in the context of social life of human beings. Discussion will cover various topics that form the backbone of social education, such as the beginnings of social pedagogy, and in other European countries, the concept of social pedagogy and subject matter, and also link the field to other disciplines. Lectures will focus on current topics in the Czech Republic, and in EU with intensive orientation on cultural, religional, societal, lingvistic and some other issues that determine social relations among people living in Czechia.
Course Objectives:
The main objectives of the course are the following ones: a) presenting and understanding the key aspects of social educational concepts in the Czech Republic and in EU, b) getting to know the specifics of some selected determinants of social relations, and c) understanding some key problem existing in the context of not only in Czech school educational system.
Requirement to student
- You are expected to complete all assigned readings and exercises.
- Participation also means: active involvement in discussion, postings, individual and group activities.
- Analysis of the books, different texts related to the topics of the course.
- Preparing the presentation on the selected topic of the course.
- Presentation and Interpetation.
- Discusssion.

- The main areas, categories and issues of social education – definitions, interpretations, examples and putting into practice
- Social relations – when, how, where, why, what and etc. – social aspects, their attributes
- What social is, and what not, and many others attributes seems to be social, societal, or sociological...
