Synopsis/description/annotation:
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic technical knowledge and skills from various forms of tourism, which are useful in school and leisure activities. Furthermore, the course focuses on familiarizing students with physical activities in nature, in a variety of terrain and motor skills in relation to various environmental requirements.
Requirement to student:
- Participation in water slalom race category (C2) (10 points)
- Practical demonstration of kayaking (K1) (2,5 points)
- Practical demonstration of canoeing (C1) (2,5 points)
- Participation in the Mountain Bike Race (10 points)
- Orienteering (10 points)
- Participation in triathlon race (10 points)
- Participation in other activities included in the course program (5 points)
- Written test (0-50 points)
According to the sum of points, students are evaluated:
- 51-100 points counted
- 0-50 points not counted.
Content
Basic forms of tourism: walking, water and cycling. Organization of walks and excursions. Games in the natural environment, cooperative and team games, non-traditional games. Exercise in nature, use of rope obstacle courses. Social games, communication and creativity games as part of outdoor programs and courses. Cultural-artistic context of outdoor activities, cultural cognitive activities, creation of natural materials. Orienteering, orienteering games and exercises.

Skilled requirements:
Graduate of the course knows basic movement skills necessary to realize activities in nature and is able to demonstrate them practically in healthy population and knows basic terminology in Czech and English language.

Preparation for exams – 30 h
Price of SNB course is around 3.000,- CZK (accomodation, teaching aids)
Summer course takes place in Bohušov (Czech Republic).
