InCAST 2023

Conference – Exhibition – Concert

On August 2 and 3, 2023, the InCAST 2023, International scientific conference will be held, which is regularly organized every year in Japan. Ostrava was chosen by the organizers to host this year's conference. The Centre for Visual Studies of Faculty of Education, University of Ostrava has become a partner of the project and co-organizes this great event, which also includes a group exhibition Distant Relatives, curated by Tomas Koudela, Yasuyuki Saegusa, Arkadiusz Marcinkowski, Kohji Asakawa and featuring music and dance performance by Katarzyna Dondalska, Masamichi Shibasaki and Michał Landowski. The event is also co-organised by GDM Contemporary – Gallery for Contemporary Art.

The interdisciplinary conference InCAST is primarily focused on areas related to artificial intelligence and the dawning of a new era. As we bid farewell to the classic era of human intelligence, we embark on a journey into the unknown, filled with uncertainty and boundless possibilities. This gathering aims to explore the uncharted territory of the future, where the speed and essence of this new world remain veiled in mystery.
