Synopsis / description / annotation:

The aim of this course is to acquaint the students with the socio-pathological phenomena that occur in the society, the mastery of basic concepts of social pathology as a discipline dealing with their exploration in areas of social deviance, and also recognition and analysis of the causes and consequences in general. The course reflects the current problems in the field of socio-pathological phenomena among children, adolescents and adults. In the general theoretical level, it defines individuals and groups with psychopathological behaviour. The emphasis is put on the prevention of socio-pathological behaviour and conduct in all its forms.

Course Objectives:

The course is primarily focused on the knowledge of the key terminology of the field of social pathology and uderstanding the whole context of the social phenomena.

Requirement to student

  • You are expected to complete all assigned readings and exercises.
  • Participation also means: active involvement in discussion, postings, individual and group activities.
  • Analysis of the books, different texts related to the topics of the course.
  • Preparing the presentation on the selected topic of the course.
  • Presentation and Interpetation.
  • Discusssion.
