AnotationThe intended project connects to the identification of the potential scaffolding elements contained in the textbooks and in the description of the scaffolding strategies used by secondary school teachers while teaching or in their lesson preparations. However this support is interpreted by teachers themselves regardless of which methods we can really identify in their lessons. The aim of further research is to find out how teachers use textbook based supporting strategies in class. We are also interested in specific scaffolding strategies and elements used by pupils. Both will be compared with each other. We believe that by this we can answer the problematic question of the extent to which scaffolding strategies used by teachers in class differ from scaffolding potential of the textbooks? At the same time we ask which supporting strategies do pupils use when working with text and which supporting strategies do they need? From the methodological point of view we will use direct observation and semi-structured interviews with pupils (focus group). Theoretical framework of research is the socio-cultural paradigm of the pupils? activities with educational resources (Sherin & Reiser, 2004; van de Pol, 2010; Jumaat & Zaidatun, 2014; Horsley, 2015 aj.).
