Aims and objectives:

The aim of the course is to help students improve their practical skills and theoretical knowledge of six-a-side volleyball.

Topics of lectures:

  1. Serving practice
  2. Game-based practice to improve skills
  3. Passing practice
  4. Game-based practice to improve skills
  5. Overhand passing practice
  6. Game-based practice to improve skills
  7. Spike practice
  8. Game-based practice to improve skills
  9. Net defence practice
  10. Game-based practice to improve skills
  11. Backcourt defence practice
  12. Game-based practice to improve skills
  13. Verification of practical crediting requirements

Requirements for students:

  1. Active participation in practice sessions (min. 11x per semester)
  2. Practical demonstration of basic volleyball skills (25 points)
  3. Application of basic volleyball skills in game situations 6-6 (25 points)
  4. After successful completion of the practical skills demonstration and game application, the student is awarded a further 50 points

Points-based evaluation:

  • 51-100 points: course credits awarded
  • 0-50 points: course credits not awarded
