Annotation
The seminars concentrate on three basic thematic areas: theoretical delimitation of the Czech language (particularly from the typological point of view in comparison with other European languages), familiarization with fundamental works of Czech literature for children and young people and introduction of its typical features within important stages of its development (focusing on typical subjects, motifs and value structures), insight into the most prominent stages of development, familiarization with representatives of Czech culture (with focus on the region of North Moravia and Silesia).
The subject is taught in English and is designed to provide an outline of selected issues from linguistic, literary and broader cultural viewpoints. It is aimed not only at international students but also potentially at Czech students.
